Opvee® (nalmefene) is a nasal spray used for the emergency treatment of a known or suspected opioid overdose in adults and children ages 12 years and older. This is not a substitute for emergency medical care. Opvee® should be administered after initiation of CPR in a life-threatening emergency with a repeat dose as needed. Compared to naloxone, Opvee® (nalmefene) has a longer duration of action and a higher affinity for opioid receptors therefore fully reversing opioid doses.

Malathion is a topical antiparasitic agent used to treat head lice and their ova of the scalp hair. Malathion is a pediculicide, meaning it kills lice. 

Xifaxan is an antibiotic used to treat travelers’ diarrhea caused by Escherichia coli (E. coli). It works by inhibiting bacterial RNA synthesis, effectively stopping the growth of harmful bacteria in the intestines. Unlike other antibiotics, Xifaxan is minimally absorbed into the bloodstream, which helps reduce systemic side effects. This targeted action makes it a well-tolerated option for managing mild to moderate cases of travelers’ diarrhea. However, it is not effective for diarrhea caused by other pathogens such as viruses or invasive bacteria like Campylobacter or Salmonella.

Hyoscyamine is an anticholinergic medication used to treat gastrointestinal disorders which include irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), peptic ulcers, and spasms in the stomach, intestines or bladder. Since hyoscyamine is available in a sublingual dosage form, it works quickly to alleviate symptoms. This medication reduces stomach acid production, slows the natural movements of the digestive tract by relaxing the muscles.

Albendazole is used to treat infections caused by parasites (e.g., pinworm, hookworm, roundworm, and tapeworm). A methylcarbamate benzimidazole anthelmintic, it is In the same family of drugs as mebendazole, flubendazole, fenbendazole ("FenBen"), and oxfendazole. Albendazole works by keeping the parasite from absorbing sugar, thereby causing the parasite to lose energy and die.

Prescription strength permethrin (5%) is used as a topical treatment for mild or severe scabies infestations. Permethrin targets the nerve cells of the parasite killing the parasite, and will continue to exert activity after rinsing ensuring the infestation is gone. This formulation may be used in combination with oral treatments for severe or difficult infestations.

Triamcinolone is a topical steroid used to alleviate itching or inflammation associated with a variety of skin conditions such as atopic dermatitis (eczema), psoriasis, seborrheic dermatitis, and contact dermatitis.

Ciprofloxacin is an antibiotic used to treat bacterial infections such as traveler’s diarrhea and urinary tract infection (UTI).

Oral ivermectin is used to treat scabies for individuals that have had prolonged skin to skin contact to scabies within the past 6 weeks. It may also be used for scabies infestation for individuals living in the same environment. This formulation may also be used in combination with topical treatments for severe or difficult infestations.
