Prescription Thyroid Medication

Tirosint® is a prescription medication used to treat hypothyroidism, a condition where the thyroid gland does not produce enough thyroid hormone. It contains levothyroxine sodium, a synthetic form of the hormone thyroxine (T4), which helps regulate metabolism, energy levels, and overall body function. Tirosint® works by replacing or supplementing the natural thyroid hormone in the body, helping restore normal metabolic activity and alleviate symptoms like fatigue, weight gain, and cold intolerance.

NP Thyroid® is used as an alternative thyroid hormone replacement for individuals with an underactive thyroid. The dosing is specific to the individual's serum thyroid levels and must not be self-diagnosed or dosed.   NP Thyroid® is generally well tolerated, and it is recommended to reassess thyroid levels at least once yearly.

Synthroid (Levothyroxine) is used as a thyroid hormone replacement for individuals with an underactive thyroid. The dosing is specific to the individual's serum thyroid levels and must not be self-diagnosed or dosed.   Armour Thyroid®  is generally well tolerated, and it is recommended to reassess thyroid levels at least once yearly.
