Synthroid (Levothyroxine) is used as a thyroid hormone replacement for individuals with an underactive thyroid. The dosing is specific to the individual's serum thyroid levels and must not be self-diagnosed or dosed.   Levothyroxine is generally well tolerated, and it is recommended to reassess thyroid levels at least once yearly. 

  • Used for the treatment of hypothyroidism at individualized dosing
  • Dosing must be determined by serum thyroid levels and clinical response
  • Recommended to be taken every morning with a full glass of water on an empty stomach 30 to 60 minutes before food
