Oral ivermectin is used to treat scabies for individuals that have had prolonged skin to skin contact to scabies within the past 6 weeks. It may also be used for scabies infestation for individuals living in the same environment. This formulation may also be used in combination with topical treatments for severe or difficult infestations. 

  • Used to treat scabies infestations that had an insufficient response to topical formulations or are severe enough to use combination therapy
  • Dosing is based on weight and taken once then repeated in 7 to 14 days
