Triamcinolone is a topical steroid used to alleviate itching or inflammation associated with a variety of skin conditions such as atopic dermatitis (eczema), psoriasis, seborrheic dermatitis, and contact dermatitis.

Triamcinolone cream/ointment is a topical steroid with moderate potency to help alleviate itching and inflammation associated with dermatitis

Apply a small amount topically to the affected area once or twice a day

For best results, apply to moist skin immediately after bathing

Understand triamcinolone cream/ointment is for external use only, avoiding contact with eyes
Understand topical corticosteroids should be avoided in older adults due to skin thinning and integrity which may increase systemic absorption and risk for side effects
Understand the topical formulation of this product is unlikely to, but may cause systemic effects (e.g., Cushing syndrome, hyperglycemia) if used for a prolonged period of time, applied to large areas, or wrapped in occlusive dressing
Will not apply this product to open wounds as topical steroids may impair wound healing and increase risk for infection
Will use for the appropriate duration of therapy of up to 2 weeks and understand prolonged use of topical steroids may result in fungal or bacterial superinfection
Will discontinue use of this product if local sensitivity or irritation occurs

Usage Instructions
- Apply a thin layer to the affected area as directed by your provider

- Do not use under occlusive dressings unless instructed by your provider
