Tamsulosin Medication Description
Tamsulosin is a prescription medication used to improve urinary symptoms associated with an enlarged prostate, a condition known as benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). Rarely, tamsulosin may cause a condition called intraoperative floppy iris syndrome (IFIS) during cataract or glaucoma surgery. Inform your eye surgeon if you are taking or have taken this medication

Tamsulosin Side Effects
Side effects may include headache, back pain, diarrhea, and dizziness. A rare side effect that requires immediate medical attention includes a painful erection lasting more than 4 hours.
