do not active liver failure or decompensated cirrhosis
have a diagnosis of high cholesterol and have already been taking rosuvastatin as prescribed by an authorized healthcare provider
do not active liver failure or decompensated cirrhosis
do not have a history of myasthenia gravis
do not have severe liver (hepatic, Child-Pugh class C) or severe kidney (renal) impairment
understand it may increase blood sugar levels
understand it may increase the risk of hepatotoxicity
understand it increases the risk of muscle weakness, including myalgia, myopathy, and rhabdomyolysis. If muscle pain or severe weakness occurs, I will discontinue the medication and seek medical attention immediately.
understand this medication may interact with grapefruit juice and medications being metabolized similarly, including amiodarone, gemfibrozil, and HIV medications

Rosuvastatin Medication Description
Rosuvastatin is a prescription statin medication used to lower total cholesterol and triglyceride levels while increasing high-density lipoprotein (HDL), the “good” cholesterol. By reducing low-density lipoprotein (LDL) and other harmful fats in the blood, rosuvastatin helps decrease the risk of heart attack, stroke, and other cardiovascular events. It works by blocking an enzyme in the liver that is responsible for producing cholesterol, leading to improved lipid profiles over time.

Usage Instructions
