Nystatin/triamcinolone topical is used to treat fungal infections of the skin caused by Candida (yeast). The combination of an antifungal (nystatin) and a corticosteroid (triamcinolone) works to kill the yeast and alleviate symptoms of the infection such as skin itching, inflammation and redness.

Nystatin/triamcinolone is a combination topical medication used to both treat fungal infections of the skin and alleviate itching and inflammation associated with the infection

Apply a thin film topically to the affected area twice a day until healed

For best results, apply to clean, dry skin and do not cover the treated area with occlusive dressings

I agree that I:

Am 18 years or older
Have been diagnosed with a cutaneous candidiasis infection and am using this medication as prescribed for my own personal use
Have not had a hypersensitivity reaction to nystatin, triamcinolone, or any component of the formulation
Am not pregnant or breastfeeding
Do not have liver (hepatic) or kidney (renal) impairment
Understand and am aware nystatin/triamcinolone cream or ointment is for external use only, not for use in the eyes or ears
Understand topical corticosteroids should be avoided in older adults due to skin thinning and integrity which may increase systemic absorption and risk for side effects
Understand the topical formulation of this product is unlikely to, but may cause systemic effects (e.g., Cushing syndrome, hyperglycemia) if used for a prolonged period of time, applied to large areas, or wrapped in occlusive dressing
Will not apply this product to open wounds as topical steroids may impair wound healing and increase risk for infection
Will use for the appropriate duration of therapy of up to 2 weeks and understand prolonged use of topical steroids may result in fungal or bacterial superinfection
Will discontinue use of this product if local sensitivity or irritation occurs
Am not currently taking or intend to take progesterone concurrently with nystatin/triamcinolone as it may diminish the therapeutic effects of progesterone
