have a diagnosis of rosacea and have already been using topical metronidazole as prescribed by an authorized healthcare provider
Am using topical metronidazole as prescribed for my own personal use

Understand topical metronidazole may cause tearing of the eye and to avoid contact with the eyes. In the event of accidental contact, wash out immediately.
Am not pregnant nor breastfeeding
Understand topical metronidazole is not for intravaginal, ophthalmic, or oral use
Understand that if dermatitis occurs, topical metronidazole should be discontinued
Understand peripheral neuropathy has been reported with topical metronidazole products and will discontinue use if numbness or tingling develop in the hands or feet
Do not have a history of blood dyscrasias
Do not have a history of seizure disorder

Metronidazole Topical Medication Description
Metronidazole topical cream or gel is a commonly prescribed dermatologic treatment for rosacea, particularly when symptoms include persistent redness, papules, and pustules. It is an anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial agent that helps calm flare-ups and is intended to improve the appearance of rosacea-affected skin over time.

The exact mechanism of action in rosacea is not fully understood, but metronidazole is believed to reduce inflammation and target potential skin-surface bacteria that can contribute to rosacea symptoms.

How To Use:
- Apply a thin layer to affected areas once or twice daily, or depending on your healthcare provider’s instructions. The skin should be thoroughly cleansed and dried before application. Avoid the eyes, mouth, and inside of the nose.
- Visible improvement is often seen within 3–6 weeks of consistent use. Continued application is typically recommended to maintain results.
Warnings:

Avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes. Discontinue use if irritation or allergic reaction occurs. Not intended for use on open wounds or severely damaged skin.
