Hydroxyzine is an antihistamine used to relieve itching caused by allergic skin conditions such as atopic dermatitis (eczema), contact dermatitis and hives. Due to its effects on certain receptors in the brain, it may also be used to treat anxiety and tension. It is taken as needed and is for short-term use (less than 4 months) since tolerance develops over time and may decrease effectiveness of hydroxyzine.

Propranolol is used for the treatment of performance anxiety, public speaking, or other situational events. It is taken as needed, however, it can also be used for other health conditions including high blood pressure, migraine prevention, and specific heart conditions. It is advised to avoid smoking while taking this medication as it may decrease the effectiveness of propranolol.
