Ivermectin 1% cream (Soolantra) is a topical prescription indicated for the treatment of inflammatory lesions of rosacea. People with rosacea are found to carry higher concentrations of Demodex mites on the face which are associated with inflammation. Soolantra is antiparasitic and works against Demodex mites to reduce inflammation.
- Reduces rosacea flare-up symptoms including pus-filled bumps, persistent facial redness, skin marks, and skin thickening
- Visible results typically noted within 4 weeks of daily use
- Use a pea-sized amount for each area of the face (forehead, chin, nose, each cheek) that is affected. Spread as a thin layer, avoiding the eyes and lips.
