Diclofenac potassium powder packets are a fast-acting nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) used to relieve acute migraine attacks in adults. This medication works by reducing inflammation and blocking pain signals by inhibiting cyclooxygenase (COX) enzymes, which are involved in the production of prostaglandins. The powder formulation allows for quicker absorption compared to traditional tablets, providing faster pain relief. Diclofenac potassium is not intended for the prevention of migraines or for treating other types of pain.

Propranolol is used for the treatment of high blood pressure, performance anxiety, migraine prevention, and specific heart conditions. It is advised to avoid smoking while taking this medication as it may decrease the effectiveness of propranolol.

Naratriptan is a serotonin 5-HT₁ receptor agonist used to treat acute migraine attacks with or without aura. It works by constricting blood vessels in the brain and reducing inflammation, helping to relieve migraine symptoms such as headache, nausea, and sensitivity to light and sound. Naratriptan is most effective when taken at the first sign of a migraine and is not intended for the prevention of future attacks. Due to its vasoconstrictive effects, it should be used cautiously in individuals with cardiovascular risk factors.

Zolmitriptan is an antimigraine agent and belongs to a class of medications known as “triptans”. Zolmitriptan works on serotonin receptors and is intended to relieve the symptoms of an active migraine rather than prevention. When compared to other triptans (sumatriptan and rizatriptan), zolmitriptan has fewer risks of side effects and less known significant drug interactions.

Celecoxib is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) used to relieve pain and inflammation associated with conditions like osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, and ankylosing spondylitis. It works by selectively inhibiting the enzyme COX-2, which plays a key role in the production of prostaglandins that cause inflammation and pain. Celecoxib is preferred over some other NSAIDs due to its lower risk of gastrointestinal side effects such as ulcers and bleeding.

Side effects may include fatigue and loss of energy. Although rare, additional side effects include severe dizziness, vision changes, burning or numbness, and vomiting.

Rizatriptan ODT is a preferred treatment for the management of acute migraine headaches and nausea. The tablet will dissolve on the inside of your cheek making it easier to take if you have an upset stomach. It should not be used for more than 10 days a month or for chronic headaches.
