Chronic Conditions
Celecoxib
Generic For Celebrex®
starting at $29.99

Celecoxib is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) used to relieve pain and inflammation associated with conditions like osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, and ankylosing spondylitis. It works by selectively inhibiting the enzyme COX-2, which plays a key role in the production of prostaglandins that cause inflammation and pain. Celecoxib is preferred over some other NSAIDs due to its lower risk of gastrointestinal side effects such as ulcers and bleeding.

  • Celecoxib is used for pain and inflammation associated with arthritis (osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis and ankylosing spondylitis), painful menstruation and migraines
  • Typically taken as 1 capsule up to twice daily
  • Maximum daily dose is up to 400mg per day
  • Take with food or milk to minimize stomach upset
  • Celecoxib is used off-label for the treatment of acute gout flare ups
