have not had a hypersensitivity reaction to amlodipine or any component of the formulation
have a diagnosis of high blood pressure and have already been taking amlodipine as prescribed by an authorized healthcare provider
understand this medication may cause too low blood pressure and dizziness, which must be monitored, and dose adjusted as needed
do not have a history of liver (hepatic) or kidney (renal) impairment
do not have any of the conditions related to heart structure and function, including aortic stenosis, heart failure, or enlarged heart (hypertrophic cardiomyopathy)
understand this medication may interact with medications being metabolized similarly, including clarithromycin, erythromycin, rifampin, and HIV medications
am not pregnant or breastfeeding
