Telmisartan is a medication used to lower blood pressure. It can be used alone or in combination with other medications that lower blood pressure to produce optimal outcomes.

  • Telmisartan is used to treat high blood pressure either alone or as add-on therapy to other medications that reduce blood pressure
  • Starting dose is typically 20 mg to 40 mg once daily, and may be increased up to 80 mg as needed for blood pressure control as a maintenance dose
