Clobetasol foam is a prescription-strength topical corticosteroid used to manage a variety of inflammatory and itchy skin conditions, including plaque psoriasis, eczema, and different forms of dermatitis.
Its foam formulation ensures a lightweight, non-greasy consistency that spreads evenly across the skin and absorbs quickly into affected areas. This allows clobetasol to rapidly reduce inflammation, redness, and itching, delivering fast-acting symptom relief and visible improvement in skin appearance.
The non-occlusive nature of the foam lets the skin breathe while maintaining therapeutic contact, making it especially useful for larger surface areas or hair-bearing regions like the scalp.
How to Use:
Shake the canister well before each use
Apply a thin layer of foam to the affected skin area once or twice daily or as directed by your physician
Gently massage until fully absorbed
Use for the shortest duration necessary to control symptoms
Warnings:
For external use only—avoid contact with eyes, mouth, or mucous membranes
Do not use on the face, groin, or underarms unless directed by a healthcare provider
Use only as prescribed to reduce risk of side effects like skin thinning or adrenal suppression
Clobetasol foam side effects may cause a burning or stinging sensation at the application site and can sometimes lead to skin dryness or peeling. With prolonged use, it may result in skin thinning or even the development of stretch marks. Some individuals might experience changes in skin pigmentation, such as lighter patches, or notice acne-like eruptions and folliculitis. In rare instances, excessive use could lead to systemic effects like adrenal suppression, and allergic reactions or contact dermatitis might also occur.
