Albuterol inhalers are commonly prescribed for intermittent asthma symptoms and the acute relief of bronchospasm. As a short-acting beta-agonist (SABA), albuterol works by relaxing the muscles around the airways, allowing them to open rapidly and improve airflow during asthma flare-ups or symptom episodes.
It provides fast relief from symptoms such as wheezing, chest tightness, shortness of breath, and coughing.
How to Use:
Typical dose: 2 inhalations every 4 to 6 hours as needed.
Shake the inhaler before use.
Breathe out fully, inhale while pressing the canister, then hold breath for about 10 seconds then exhale slowly.
Prime the inhaler with 3 to 4 sprays into the air if you are using it for the first time or it has not been used for more than 2 weeks.
