Spinosad is a prescription topical antiparasitic medication derived from naturally occurring soil bacteria. It is primarily used to treat head lice and scabies. Spinosad works by affecting the nervous system of lice or mites, which paralyzes and kills them.
How to Use:
For head lice, spinosad is generally applied to dry hair and scalp, left on for 10 minutes, and then rinsed out. For scabies, it may be applied from the neck down, including skin folds, toes, and fingernails, then left on for the amount of time directed before washing off. Use only as prescribed and repeat treatment only if instructed or if live lice are still present after the recommended interval.
