Scopolamine is a prescription transdermal patch used to help prevent nausea and vomiting associated with motion sickness. Each patch delivers medication continuously over 72 hours, helping to maintain steady relief during travel by sea, air, or land. It works by blocking certain nerve signals in the brain that trigger nausea and vomiting.
This medication is applied behind the ear and is designed for short-term use. It should not be worn for more than 72 hours at a time, as extended use may increase the risk of side effects or withdrawal symptoms after removal.
Usage Instructions
-
Apply 1 patch to a clean, dry, hairless area of skin behind the ear at least 4 hours before travel
-
Wear the patch for up to 72 hours, then remove and discard
-
If the patch falls off or is removed early, replace it with a new one in a different spot behind the other ear
-
Wash hands thoroughly after handling the patch to avoid accidental contact with eyes or mouth
-
Do not cut or alter the patch in any way
