Meloxicam is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory (NSAID) medication used for pain or inflammation associated with arthritis. Meloxicam allows for pain relief with only once a day dosing.
- Meloxicam is used for pain and inflammation associated with both osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis
- Taken as 7.5 mg or 15 mg once daily, not to exceed 15 mg per day
- Take with food or milk to minimize stomach upset

Side Effects
Side effects may include constipation, diarrhea, stomach pain, vomiting, gas, heartburn, dizziness or headache, and flu-like symptoms. Severe side effects may include bleeding, high blood pressure, shortness of breath, chest pain, kidney problems, high potassium levels, Stevens-Johnson syndrome and feeling very tired/weak.
