Sumatriptan nasal spray is a prescription medication used for the acute treatment of migraine headaches with or without aura, especially when nausea, vomiting, or difficulty swallowing makes oral medication less practical. Usage Instructions:
Administer a single spray into one nostril at the first sign of migraine onset
If symptoms return or do not fully resolve, a second dose may be given after at least 2 hours
Do not exceed 2 doses in a 24-hour period
Not intended for use on more than 10 days per month to avoid medication overuse headaches
Follow the specific administration instructions provided with the nasal spray device for best results

Not suitable for individuals at risk for coronary artery disease without prior evaluation by a healthcare provider
Avoid use if you have uncontrolled high blood pressure, certain heart rhythm disorders, or a history of stroke
Possible side effects include unusual taste, nasal discomfort, dizziness, flushing, tingling, or fatigue
Rare but serious side effects include chest pain, shortness of breath, vision changes, or severe allergic reactions. Seek medical attention immediately if these occur
Do not take other triptans or ergotamine-containing medications within 24 hours of sumatriptan use
Not recommended for individuals 65 years and older unless specifically approved by a provider
