Albuterol Inhaler is a prescription rescue medication used to treat or prevent bronchospasm in individuals with asthma or exercise-induced bronchospasm. It delivers albuterol sulfate, a short-acting beta-agonist (SABA) that relaxes airway muscles, allowing air to flow more freely into the lungs.
Â
It provides quick relief of symptoms such as wheezing, chest tightness, shortness of breath, and coughing.
Â
How to Use:
For exercise-induced asthma: Typically used as 2 inhalations 5 to 20 minutes before exercise.
Â
Shake the inhaler well before each use.
Â
Breathe out fully, press down on the inhaler while inhaling slowly, and hold your breath for about 10 seconds then exhale slowly.
Â
Prime the inhaler by spraying it 3 to 4 times into the air, away from your face before first use or if inhaler has been inactive for 2 or more weeks.
