Loteprednol is a topical steroid used to provide eye relief from symptoms associated with allergies. It has a smaller side effect profile compared to other ophthalmic steroids and combats symptoms of allergies starting with the inflammatory response.

Loteprednol is an ophthalmic corticosteroid that helps reduce eye inflammation and symptoms of allergies

Applied to the affected eye four times daily

If symptom relief is not achieved after 2 days, then discontinue and seek an alternative

May be used with other eye drops separated by at least 5 minutes

Contact lenses must be removed before application and it is recommended to refrain from wearing contact lenses if eye redness occurs due to allergies

am 18 years or older
have not had a hypersensitivity reaction to loteprednol, other corticosteroids, or any component of the formulation
do not have a viral disease in the eye, including herpes simplex keratitis, varicella or vaccinia
do not have a mycobacteria infection or fungal of the eye
have not recently undergone cataract surgery and do not have cataracts, corneal thinning, or glaucoma
understand that prolonged use of steroids may result in increased intraocular pressure and/or glaucoma
do not have a sensitivity to benzalkonium chloride understand this product may contain propylene glycol which may have serious side effects when exposed in large quantities
do not have a bleeding disorder, diabetes, rheumatoid arthritis, or an ocular disease
am not pregnant or breastfeeding
understand I must remove contact lenses before instilling eye drops understand contact lenses may be applied at least 15 minutes after applying loteprednol but it is recommended to refrain from wearing contact lenses during use
understand other eye drops may be applied at least 5 minutes after applying loteprednol eye drops
am using this medication for allergy relief
will discontinue the use of this product if local sensitivity or changes in eyesight occur
