Synthroid (Levothyroxine) is used as a thyroid hormone replacement for individuals with an underactive thyroid. The dosing is specific to the individual's serum thyroid levels and must not be self-diagnosed or dosed. Levothyroxine is generally well tolerated, and it is recommended to reassess thyroid levels at least once yearly.
