Hydroquinone is used to lighten hyperpigmentation (dark spots) of the skin caused by a wide range of conditions, such as melasma, freckles and post-inflammatory marks caused by acne scars, eczema, hormonal treatments, and injury to the skin.

Used to lighten dark patches of the skin by blocking melanin pigment production that leads to discoloration

Typically applied sparingly to hyperpigmented areas twice daily for 3 to 6 months

Use a broad spectrum sunscreen (SPF 30 or greater), avoid prolonged sun exposure and wear protective clothing on areas being treated
