Estradiol (estrogen) is a female hormone used to help alleviate symptoms of menopause, including vaginal dryness, burning, and painful intercourse. Estradiol oral tablets are FDA-approved to treat vulvar and vaginal atrophy associated with menopause. Vaginal atrophy (atrophic vaginitis) is thinning, drying and inflammation of the vaginal walls that may occur when your body has less estrogen. They’re also FDA approved to treat vasomotor symptoms associated with menopause.
- Used to help reduce symptoms of menopause, such as vaginal dryness, burning, and painful intercourse
- Must be 60 years of age or younger or within 10 years of menopause
- Typical maintenance dosing is 0.5mg to 1mg daily

Estradiol Tablets side effects may include breast pain, vaginal discharge, chills, unusual vaginal bleeding, backache, body aches or pain, dizziness, headaches, blurred vision or irritability.
