Ciclopirox topical gel is a prescription-strength antifungal medication used to treat a range of fungal skin conditions, including ringworm (tinea corporis), athlete’s foot (tinea pedis)—especially between the toes—and seborrheic dermatitis. These infections are often itchy, red, and contagious, and the gel works by inhibiting fungal growth at the site of infection.
This gel formulation is ideal for areas that require a light, quick-drying treatment that absorbs easily into the skin without leaving a greasy residue.
How to Use:
For external use only — do not apply to broken or irritated skin unless directed
Wash hands, then clean and dry the affected area thoroughly
Apply a thin layer of gel to the affected skin and surrounding area as directed by your physician
Gently rub in and let dry completely before covering or dressing
Wash hands before and after application (unless hands are the treatment site)
Additional Notes:
Apply once or twice daily as directed by your provider
Continue use for the full course of treatment, even if symptoms improve early
Avoid use near eyes, mouth, or mucous membranes
For best results, follow all hygiene instructions and minimize contact with others during treatment of contagious infections like ringworm and athlete’s foot.
