Terconazole is a prescription-strength antifungal cream used to treat vaginal yeast infections. Terconazole helps to alleviate burning, itching and discharge that is associated with the infection.
- Used to treat uncomplicated vaginal yeast infections
- Taken as 1 applicatorful inserted vaginally at bedtime for 3 days (0.8% cream) or 7 days (0.4% cream)
- Treatment is unaffected by menstruation, but should not be used with vaginal products (e.g., tampons, douches)

Side effects may include headache, menstrual pain, vaginal irritation and itching, and upset stomach.
