Triamcinolone dental paste is a topical steroid used as an adjunctive treatment and provides temporary relief of symptoms associated with oral inflammatory and ulcerative lesions (e.g. canker sores) in the mouth. It works by reducing swelling, itching and pain associated with mouth sores.
- Triamcinolone dental paste is typically used for canker sores and/or mouth ulcers
- Wash hands before and after use
- Apply a small amount into oral cavity until a thin, smooth film develops and do not rub in
- Apply at bedtime to allow contact of the medication with the lesions overnight
- If more frequent application is necessary, apply after meals
- Do not apply paste to skin or eyes
