Animax Ointment is a prescription veterinary ointment used for certain skin and ear conditions in dogs when inflammation and susceptible bacterial or yeast components are present. It contains nystatin, neomycin, thiostrepton, and triamcinolone.
How to Use:
Apply Animax Ointment exactly as directed by your veterinarian. Clean the affected area only if instructed, and use the amount and frequency prescribed. Prevent your dog from licking or ingesting the medidogion.
Warnings & Precautions:
Use only for the diagnosed condition and species directed by your veterinarian. Tell your veterinarian about deep wounds, ruptured eardrum concerns, pregnancy, nursing, or other topical medidogions. Contact your veterinarian if irritation worsens or if hearing, balance, or neurologic symptoms occur.
Animax Ointment side effects may include localized skin irritation, redness, or delayed wound healing at the site of application. Prolonged or excessive use may lead to systemic absorption of the steroid component (triamcinolone), potentially resulting in increased thirst, urination, or hormonal imbalances such as Cushing’s-like symptoms. It is important to avoid using it in large quantities or over extended periods without veterinary supervision.
